Rooted in Wonder is a hands-on herbal summer camp where children explore the world of plants through play, creativity, food, and real-life skills. Located at our amazing herb shop Modern Herbal Apothecary in south Tampa. Starting at 9am and ending at 12 pm. Over five days, campers will move through the full life cycle of plants—from seeds and soil to flowers, trees, and food—learning how plants grow, nourish, and support life. Each day is interactive and sensory-rich, with activities like planting seeds, making herbal teas and remedies, exploring compost and soil ecosystems, working with natural plant dyes, and creating simple plant-based foods. Children will leave each day with something they’ve made and a deeper understanding of how plants are part of everyday life. This camp is designed to build confidence, curiosity, and connection—to nature, to food, and to the idea that plants can care for us in many different ways.
